Free movement for all EU nationals if they stay less than 3 months.

These persons are allowed to enter and stay in Spain on presentation:

• Identity card even outdated (for less than 5 years)

Or

• From a passport

For more than 3 months, you must obtain an NIE (Foreigners Identification Number) card. To do so, please present yourself to the competent authorities with the following documents:

• Original ID + one copy
• 2 pictures
• Employment contract in Spain
• Medical certificate (not required but can be claimed)

The NIE card is valid for the duration mentioned on the employment contract
